About the website This website grew out of a wish to make the idea of having therapy more reachable, and to offer an extra support to clients who are currently having a course of therapy - there are many resources here that can help out during the rest of the week. I also built it holding in mind those who cannot currently access therapy - for whatever reason - hoping that there will be something here that can offer some degree of support, at least, until things change. There are many people who are curious about therapy but feel shy about actually trying it out. Some fear that, if they go underneath the surface, they'll find things they don't like. (The photo on the right, btw, is the underneath of a quayside - a place not often visited, yet beautiful in its own way.) Many can spend years feeling unhappy, or not as happy as they want to be, and come to feel that this is the only way to live. Those that wonder whether it could help them are probably onto something. They are likely sensing the possibility of a more fulfilling approach to life - their wondering indicating that this is something they want. This website recognises that we can be cautious around making major changes in our lives. It provides lots of information, and also some ways of feeling support, while you think about what might be the best way forward for you. You are welcome to visit, and dally here, for as long (and as often) as you like. Visiting the site may be enough for you to make some changes, and that may be all that you need right now. Some people like to take a long time to work out whether something feels right for them - and some people know immediately. If you decide that you'd like more (to find out about Psychotherapy & Counselling for yourself), you'll find details of how to get in touch by clicking How to Make Contact. Enjoy your visit!
